This year’s edition of the Course “Fetal Imaging&Beyond” will address US visualization of fetal brain, scull, face, spine and extremities. Our speakers will update your knowledge on complex fetal pathology which is more often missed or misdiagnosed. Fetal pelvic pathology will be discussed. We will explore face and brain of fetuses with common trisomies in order to have better awareness of common and rare diagnostic clues. Going into more detailed evaluation of normal and abnormal fetal anatomy allows us better understanding of the pathology and its prenatal evolution, to achieve detailed precise diagnosis. This annual course is dedicated to Ob&Gyn doctors, specialists in prenatal diagnosis and fetal medicine, geneticists, sonographers, radiologists, and others interested in fetal ultrasound and fetal medicine. Fetal ultrasound and prenatal diagnosis belong to the fast-evolving medical specialties, which need constant upgrade of professional knowledge and skills. With ultrasound findings as a starting point, the diagnostic workup goes through a labyrinth of sophisticated genetic testing, multimodal imaging techniques, complicated analytic research, and multidisciplinary consultations. The aim is to get to the correct diagnosis and to give parents accurate information about fetal condition and prognosis, and to propose treatment when available.
